  1. I remember when rural electrification came to my townland of Gortavoher near Lombardstown. I was born in 1942 and raise on a farm that contained a large wood which I roamed through regularly and one day I came across a deep hole in the ground and some unusual glass baubles that I brought home . My parents made me take them back and that image has still stayed with me.
