Harald Wallem (1869–1954) joined Schuckert & Co. before it merged with Siemens in 1903, and worked as head of the Project Office, Department of Electric Power Stations.

He travelled to Ireland with McLaughlin in the early 1920s to act as Siemens representative in discussions with the Irish Government. He later became Siemens’s senior negotiator, and was instrumental in finalising the project’s operational and contractual details which allowed the Shannon Scheme to progress.
