In 1981/1982/1983 a heavy haulage scammell road train made its way through Carrick on Shannon to and beyond Boyle in the summertime, June approx. Many of the Scammells were army ones. The Roscommon Herald and the Leitrim Observer both published pictures and a small article about it since nothing was ever seen before or since. I asked the Herald for a picture a long time back but they did not respond. I seen this road train in person at the time and as a model collecter would love to have the oppertunity to make a 1:50 scale model of it. Can someone find a picture for me?
