We have to thank John Scully and his family for sharing these wonderful photographs of his grandfather Willie Scully and fellow ESB colleagues erecting poles for the rural electrification scheme in Killasser.
Very interesting reading about the electrification of my father’s home village of Killasser. He informed me that my Grandfather: William Scully worked on the Killasser rural electrification, horse drawing poles to their locations and erecting them. Would you have any records of him working on the Killasser and Swinford electrification schemes.
